The Emory University School of Medicine/Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition is seeking exceptional physicians for full-time faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.

With planning for a new 430 bed hospital to open in September 2024 we are seeking to expand our team. Childrens is in the midst of building a state-of-the-art 1.5 million-square foot Arthur M. Blank Hospital slated to open next fall. This will enable a single campus in the heart of Atlanta for outpatient and inpatient specialty care, endoscopy, liver transplant, and research coordination.

We are seeking applicants with experience and interests in:

  1. General Gastroenterology
  2. Intestinal Rehabilitation, Multi-Visceral Transplant and Nutrition
  3. Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders

The position includes both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as teaching colleagues, fellows, residents, and medical students. The Division is actively engaged in a wide variety of clinical/research programs including: aerodigestive, eosinophilic GI diseases, IBD, intestinal rehabilitation, weight/wellness, feeding, autism, fatty liver disease, cholestatic and genetic liver diseases, biliary atresia, endoscopy/advanced endoscopy, pancreatic disorders, and liver transplant.

The Division includes 18 clinical faculty, 2 Clinical Psychologists, and 6 research PhDs. Program strengths include hepatology and IBD and members are engaged in national consortiums including the following: ICN, ChiLDReN, PUSH, NASH CRN, SPLIT, RISK, PROTECT, CAPTURE and multiple industry-supported trials.

Research linked to the Division reside within 2 Centers: the Center for Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, & Nutrition Innovation (GENI) and the Childrens Center for Immunity and Applied Genomics (CIAG)

The Division is proud of an exceptional training program including an NIDDK-supported T32 Training Program, and a transplant hepatology fellow. Our Fellowship Training Program recently increased to 3 fellows per year and provides exceptional clinical and research opportunities.
